The Sugar Mama Service is wholly-owned by Virgin Mobile USA, LLC, located in Warren, New Jersey, and is administrated by Ultramercial LLC, located in Palos Verdes Estates, California.
Both companies make every attempt to respect and protect the privacy of the individuals that use the Sugar Mama Service.
The intent of this document is to inform you what information the Sugar Mama Service collects and how that information is used.
Types of Information
The Sugar Mama Service obtains two kinds of information:
- The kind that your Web Browser supplies automatically to every Web site that you visit (such as your computer’s Internet address);
- The kind that you provide explicitly (such as if you type your name or email address into one of Sugar Mama’s Web pages).
We require, collect and store the automatically-supplied information and use it in aggregate for a variety of purposes related to delivering the Commercial and the ensuing reward.
Whenever we ask for personal information, we will tell you what it is for and who will receive it. We will do our best to make sure that nobody else does, except in aggregate form (such as what percentage of people provided the information.)
Browser Identification
Ultramercial LLC, as the administrator of the Sugar Mama Service, sets cookies on your computer every time you load one of the Sugar Mama pages. This allows us to uniquely identify your browser and therefore track which pages and advertisers you have visited through the ultramercial.com domain. We cannot read cookies set by other Web sites, and they cannot read the ones that we set.
Cookies allow us to recognize you when you return to our site, and we use this information for certain purposes such as confirming the reward you receive upon completing the commercial. You must accept and store our cookies in order to successfully complete an Ultramercial ad unit.
In addition, Ultramercial LLC automatically collects information that your browser makes available whenever you visit a website. This log information includes your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your query and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. We use this information to troubleshoot our services and occasionally analyze it in summary form in order to provide statistics about our visitors.
We collect and store the explicit information you provide during your registration process for the use of the Sugar Mama Service, so that we may present you with commercials, and upon completion of these commercials, handle the confirmation process to credit your VMU wireless account with the appropriate reward.
Separation of Information
During the process of you logging into the Sugar Mama Website, choosing to engage with a partner’s commercial and then receiving confirmation of your reward for your Virgin Mobile USA wireless account, your browser is redirected from the Sugar Mama Service to the Ultramercial domain cache.ultramercial.com, and back again.
While your browser is logged into the Sugar Mama Service, we verify the personally-identifiable information you provided at the opt-in point.
While your browser is at the cache.ultramercial.com domain, we do not have access to that personally-identifiable information, but we pass a unique identifier that allows your viewing and completing of the commercial to be verified so that you may receive your reward when you are returned to the Sugar Mama Service.
The cache.ultramercial.com domain collects certain information about your configuration and viewing habits, but this domain has no idea who you are. All of the information is abstracted through a randomly generated identifier that is stored in the cookie on your computer. Nobody on your computer can see any of the information that we collect about you through the cache.ultramercial.com domain, and we cannot see any of the information on your computer that cache.ultramercial.com did not set.
Personally Identifiable Information on cache.ultramercial.com
The cache.ultramercial.com domain occasionally needs to tie personally identifying information to your browser. One case in which we do this is when you email us to report problems. We store such information in order to troubleshoot and resolve your issue, and we never use that information for any other purpose or share that information with anybody outside of the Sugar Mama Service and cache.ultramercial.com domain. No advertisers or other third-parties are able to access that information.
Direct Response Information within the cache.ultramercial.com domain
Occasionally, partners may request personally identifying information from you as part of a campaign. Providing this information is always optional and clearly marked as such. Information that you provide this way is provided exclusively to the underlying partner and is subject to its privacy policy.
Each partner that wishes to have this information must request it itself. We collect this information inside the cache.ultramercial.com domain only, on the partner’s behalf and give it only to those partners. This information is not shared with the Sugar Mama Service or its parent company, Virgin Mobile USA LLC.
Sharing of Information
We may share personally identifiable information that you voluntary and explicitly supply – such as your email address or telephone number – in any of the following limited circumstances:
- We have your consent.
- We provide such information to trusted businesses or persons for the sole purpose of processing personally identifying information on our behalf. When this is done, it is subject to agreements that oblige those parties to process such information only on our instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
- We conclude that we are required by law or have a good faith belief that access, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of VMU and Ultramercial LLC, its users or the public.
Ultramercial LLC may store and process voluntarily provided personal information collected through partners running commercials on cache.ultramercial.com in the United States or any other country in which Ultramercial LLC or its agents maintain facilities. By using Sugar Mama’s Services, you consent to the transfer of your information among these facilities, including those located outside your country.
In the event of a transfer of ownership of Ultramercial LLC, such as acquisition by or merger with another company, it is possible that personally identifying information that you provided through the cache.ultramercial.com domain may be transferred and become subject to a different privacy policy. Such action becomes subject to Changes to this Policy as described below.
Ultramercial LLC and VMU routinely share aggregated information with others, including detailed non-personal information with the partners of the Sugar Mama Service, and to prospective partners and members of the Internet advertising industry. This information is only available in aggregate form. No personally-identifying information is ever used.
Links
Our partners may present links as part of their campaigns that deliver services that are developed by people over whom the Sugar Mama Service, its parent company, Virgin Mobile USA LLC, and the site administrator, Ultramercial LLC, exercises no control. These other sites may place their own cookies on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information. Please refer to their privacy policy concerning these issues.
Changes to this Policy
Please note this Privacy Policy will by necessity change from time to time and we will maintain this page as the current version of the privacy policy.
Automatic Opt-out
If you close your VMU wireless account and/or cease using the Sugar Mama Service, the information you provided will not be used for any other reason. Data stored within dormant accounts will be periodically destroyed.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
No one under the age of 13 should provide any personal information. In general, we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If in limited circumstances we do knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13, we will do so only with verified parental consent prior to collection. In the event that we learn that we have collected information from a child under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete this information from our database as quickly as possible.
